Jill Chivers is a serial entrepreneur and has created a number of successful businesses in the real and online worlds.
Jill started her career working for global advisory and accounting giant, Deloitte, as a change leadership subject matter expert and internal facilitator. While working for Deloitte, Jill led a global virtual team of change leadership professionals and ran workshops and assessed and supported projects all over the world.
One of the most important tenets Deloitte employees worked to was “under promise and over deliver”, a philosophy Jill still works to today. Whatever Jill promises, she delivers even more.
Jill’s entire career has been about people and helping them create what they want to have the success they need. She was a reluctant entrepreneur and started her own training firm in Sydney in 2000. Her first client was Macquarie Group – a client she worked for, in multiple business divisions, for over 10 years. This was a pattern that happened with Jill’s clients over and over – repeat and referral work stemming from the great results Jill’s work helped create.
Jill became a certified professional facilitator through the International Association of Facilitators and became one of the most sought after and highly paid corporate facilitators in Australia. She created a world’s first phenomenon – a sold out 2 day leadership work for senior managers and directors of a global professional services firm. This program was of unique and powerful design, highly creative and exceptionally effective. There was a 12+ month waiting list for senior managers to get onto this program.
Jill has a deep understanding of participant learning styles and facilitates in a way that encourages engagement and learning by everyone. Her workshop design is always innovative, insightful and relevant to the learner’s needs. She has received repeated feedback that she creates a safe and open learning space that motivates.
Jill has designed and delivered workshops in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the United States, Canada and Europe. She holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and is certified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), two powerful models of understanding the human experience which Jill uses in unusual ways.
Jill is a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) through the International Association of Facilitators; and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Professional Facilitators. Jill makes things happen and is an experienced, expressive and effective speaker, writer, coach, consultant, professional facilitator and workshop leader. She is frequently given feedback that the work she does inspires real and lasting change in how people think, feel and behave.
Jill is often asked to speak, to facilitate, to write and to collaborate with others. Her client roster includes some of the world’s most recognizable global names including KPMG, Deloitte, Macquarie Group and IBM, among many others. Jill has worked for over a dozen law firms in Australia and for more than a handful of banks and other financial institutions including stockbroking firms. Jill has done work for insurance firms, telecommunication firms, software and pharmaceutical houses, a number of universities and arts organizations. Jill also works with heart-centred and passionate entrepreneurs to build businesses that deliver.
In Jill’s varied working life, she has also appeared in many media stories in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United States. Appearances include The Project, the Today Show, Sunrise, Today Tonight, The Circle, The Morning Show, Breakfast, Good Morning, Triple J, Be magazine, Prevention magazine, the Herald Sun, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Wall Street Journal.
