Jill Chivers is a writer, coach, consultant, professional facilitator, workshop leader and professional MC. The work she does inspires real and lasting change in how people think, feel and behave. Jill is often asked to speak, to facilitate, to write and to collaborate with others.
Why MCing: Other people knew Jill was an outstanding MC before she did. From her earliest moments in the corporate world, Jill was asked to create and host events, workshops and meetings, both internally and for clients. Friends asked her to MC their weddings, and entrepreneurs asked her to host their launch events. Jill believes everyone has a natural talent and affinity for something, and for her, her natural talent is for bringing people together in a unified and collaborative way for a specific purpose.
Brief background: Jill’s corporate career started with Deloitte, working on multi-million dollar, multi-phase projects all over Australia, north American and Europe. She was the first Australian to lead the Change Leadership Development Team supporting global practitioners, as well as developing the innovative methodology and its implementation around the world.
After leaving Deloitte, Jill founded her own facilitation and training firm with a client roster including some of the world’s most recognisable global names including KPMG, Deloitte, Macquarie Group and IBM, among many others. She has also worked for over a dozen law firms in Australia and for many banks and other financial institutions including stockbroking firms. Her client roster also includes insurance companies, telecommunication firms, software and pharmaceutical houses, a number of universities and arts organisations.
Innovation and impact: Jill designed and has delivered successful workshops, often rated the highest amongst other quality workshop sessions and learning interventions, in Australia, Asia, North America and Europe. Some of her leadership and communication programs, for global firms with hard to please senior audiences, had waiting lists of nearly two years.
On the air: In Jill’s varied working life, she has appeared in many media stories in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United States. Appearances include The Project, the Today Show, Sunrise, Today Tonight, A Current Affair, The Circle, The Morning Show, Breakfast, Good Morning, Triple J, Be magazine, Prevention magazine, the Herald Sun, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Wall Street Journal. She has also written or co-written over 500 articles on conscious consumption.

Making things happen: As a change agent and facilitator, Jill’s focus is on the relationships between the formal and informal, the head and the heart, the seen and the unseen. Her work is aimed at bringing the nexus between the two into clearer focus, and her success is evidenced by the number of referrals, requests for repeat sessions and in the feedback from individual clients.
Jill’s interest and focus in corporate workshops is always on what was most effective and useful – not on plying one methodology or school of thought. Her particular field of excellence is in blending methods and modalities to create unique learning experiences that truly shift thinking and create insights.
Expressive, empathetic and energetic: Whether it is in a live event or an online learning environment, the feedback Jill consistently receives is that she engages people in an expressive, empathetic and energetic way that leads to real shifts in how people think, feel and behave. Jill creates safe, stimulating and open learning spaces that inspire and motivate.
